Al Jake was born in 1959 on the Zuni Pueblo. He learned silver smithing from his parents and has been creating beautiful traditional jewelry since 1987. He is also a sand painter and potter. During the summers, he works as a forest fire fighter. Al's work is distinctive in that he uses fine natural turquoise with heavy stamp work.
