Using over 3500 stones inlaid into a tufa cast sterling silver frame award winning Navajo artist, Carl Clark, depicts a micro blend of natural turquoise, lapis, mother of pearl, jet, red and pink coral, jasper and sugilite to create a starry night scene of the full moon over Monument valley, homeland to the Navajo Nation. Using a technique solely his own he inlays on a curve to achieve this outstanding effect. The shape is hexagonal with four angles. The sliders and tips are also micro-inlayed. The amount of time involved in this creation limits his output to only a few pieces a year.
