The artist skillfully combined the use of solid 14K gold and sterling silver to create a truly awe inspiring one of a kind piece. Petroglyph designs are portrayed in the upper portion of the bolo piece as well as on the double tips of the item. The symbols include mountain designs, migration symbols, man and woman, hands for healing, turtle, lightning and stars all brought out with deep oxidation. Fine cutouts are featured on each of the double tips accentuated with deep v-stamps and etching. Arland is very famous for creating pieces that are uncommon in today's market making him one of the finest Native American silversmiths in Indian Country.
