Leander Begay
Leander Begay is brother to famed tufa cast jeweler Darryl Dean Begay as well as his well known younger brother Philander. Lee grew up traditionally on the reservation attending the many ceremonies available to youngsters on a weekly basis. He particularly loved the Yeibeichi and Yeis he viewed among the traditionals. These images he incorporates in his tufa cast jewelry with great precision and complexity. Lee has won ribbons at the Navajo Nations fair and the Gallup ceremonial.
