Navajo goldsmith Leo Yazzie has created this marvelous ring by selecting a rare gem grade natural Mediterranean oxblood coral to set in solid 14K gold over sterling silver. He has delicately stamped the sides of the ring face and inlayed the edges in both rare gem grade natural Blue Gem turquoise and coral as well. The sterling silver shank perfectly accents the finished product with beautiful stampwork and textured detail on the underside of the band.

He has selected a long sheet of solid 14K gold to overlay on sterling silver. On each link is a natural gem of exquisite quality. The four large oxblood corals are of the highest gem grade and are seldom seen in this size. The two turquoise cabochons are equally as impressive and are rare gem grade natural Red Mountain spiderweb from the artist's private collection. Mined in the early 1970s, they are rarely encountered on the market. The clasp and chain are hand made of solid gold. All of the sides of the links are inlayed with segments of rare gem grade natural Blue Gem turquoise and coral and are displayed with gorgeous cutouts on the outer edges of the band. The necklace pictured includes eight strands of natural rare gem grade Mediterranean oxblood coral from the 1970's hand ground and interspersed with natural rare gem grade Blue Gem turquoise. The necklace has solid 14K gold cones and four unique artist made tube beads that intersect the solid 14K gold clasp. Hanging from the necklace is a removable pendant with a solid 14K gold bail. Solid 14K gold was also overlayed and encircles an abnormally large rare gem grade natural Mediterranean oxblood coral cabochon. On either side of the pendant is inlaid natural rare gem grade Blue Gem turquoise. The pendant overlay is exquisite with the artist's signature detail and is blessed by a cross on the bale.
