Leonard Nez Rare Gem Grade Pilot Mountain Spiderweb Turquoise Overlay Necklace and Matching Earrings
Sold
This exquisite necklace is among the very finest creations made by master Navajo silversmith Leonard Nez. He has chosen four large gem grade natural Pilot Mountain spiderweb turquoise cabochons as the center piece of the necklace. The three dimensional gems are perfectly matched, rare and the highest grade produced by this classic Nevada mine. Deep blue green with complex electric golden and reddish-brown spiderweb matrix, they are a wonder of nature. The cabochons are attached by fine hand made links and fluted beads at the top. The two side pieces are surrounded by precisely chiseled feathers. They attach to a lovely central gem set in a deeply oxidized shadowbox. The bottom pendant exhibits a seldom seen immense cabochon set by Leonard in his gorgeous signature style. The finished product is a masterpiece. Leonard complements the necklace with a striking perfectly matched pair of earrings.
