Sold
Seven perfectly matched Number Eight spiderweb gemstones were selected for this fantastic bracelet by Sammie Kescoli Begay. The natural cabochons are deep translucent sky blue with lovely gold and chocolate spiderweb matrix. This is the classic look of the finest quality from the mine and is rarely seen today. Sammie has set them in hand made bezels on a thick shank made entirely of old American coins of the 1940s and 1950s. The coin silver is melted and rolled into an ingot, then cut and hammered into shape. The technique is ultra traditional and produces an elegant patina. Very few artists are carrying on with this method of making jewelry today due to the skill and labor involved.
