Handcrafted by acclaimed Navajo silversmith Derrick Gordon, this striking bracelet showcases five carefully matched gem grade natural Nevada Blue Spiderweb turquoise stones, selected for their exceptional color, character, and harmony. Nevada Blue turquoise gained widespread recognition after being featured in Arizona Highways magazine during the 1970s, helping establish its reputation among collectors and enthusiasts of fine Southwestern jewelry. Each gemstone displays a vivid sky blue hue beautifully contrasted by a rich, rusty spiderweb matrix, creating remarkable depth, movement, and visual texture throughout the bracelet.
The balanced arrangement of the stones creates a cohesive and commanding presentation, allowing the natural beauty of the turquoise to take center stage. Each cabochon is secured within a handmade bezel, meticulously crafted to complement and protect the unique qualities of the stone.
Separating the turquoise stones are hand stamped silver stars, a classic design element that adds rhythm, dimension, and traditional Southwestern character to the composition. These carefully executed details reflect Gordon’s dedication to preserving the artistry and techniques of traditional Navajo silversmithing.
The bracelet is constructed upon a substantial hand rolled and hammered ingot sterling silver shank, providing impressive weight, durability, and a powerful presence on the wrist. The hand forged silverwork lends both texture and authenticity to the piece, while reinforcing its bold nature.
Combining vibrant Nevada Blue Spiderweb turquoise, traditional ingot silver construction, and Derrick Gordon’s celebrated craftsmanship, this bracelet is a collector quality example of Native American jewelry. Its exceptional stones, masterful silverwork, and timeless design make it a distinctive expression of Southwestern artistry and enduring Navajo tradition.
