This is one of the finest bolos Leonard Nez has ever made. A large and extremely rare high grade natural Bisbee turquoise cabochon sits in the center of the piece. The gem exhibits a marvelous hue of Bisbee blue with stunning swirls of classic reddish-brown smokey matrix characteristic of the Lavender Pit. The face of the bolo starts out with a smooth edge that surrounds a gorgeous combination of large and small feathers. A second plain edge overlaps the heavy bottom plate then more perfectly cut feathers follow with one side highlighting an Aztec influenced design.
