With incredibly unique design and set with rare high grade Number Eight Spiderweb turquoise this one of a kind piece created by award winning Navajo artist Sammie Kescoli Begay is in a class of its own. The cabochons in this item are each a beautiful sky blue with light-brown, tan and chocolate-brown spiderweb matrix. It is one of very few that the artist has made with cabochons both in the center as well as on the tips of the band and this technique is seldom seen. The piece also includes a border around the center stone of forty eight sterling silver droplets and small droplets surrounding the two smaller stones as well. There are deep vegetative stamps on the band and the item goes from wide in the center to slender towards the tips. Sammie is well known for his innovative skill in hand fabricating pieces that are uncommon in todays market making him one of the finest Native American silversmiths in Indian Country.

This amazing artist included the use of ten sterling silver droplets and hand-twisted wire to border the stone as well as very deep stamp work extending the length of the piece. There is a crescent shape stamp running the length of each side of the band as well as a raised section with a v stamp design bordering the bezel work. In the body of the wolf the warrior clan design can be seen towards the lower right corner. In Hopi religion the wolf represents the warrior clan, protection and they are also seen as scouts to warn the people. From the lower right corner extending to the center the wolf is brilliantly outlined with exceptional precision. He is looking up towards the sky as if waiting for the rain to come. In the upper left the artist created a wonderful eagle design with the tail feathers on the left and the beak of the bird on the right. There is a beautiful mountain design, a pueblo scene and prayer mounds as well as a solid 14k gold sun.
