Perfection is the best description for this fine Alfred Joe bolo. He has chosen a beautiful gem grade natural Morenci turquoise cabochon to place in the center of the piece. The gem is deep sky blue with flecks of pyrite host rock matrix. A perfect oval, this is the classic look from this depleted mine. Surrounding the gem is a gorgeous shadowbox design that is deeply stamped on the edges and etched prior to deep oxidization. This is Al's signature look. The tips of the bolo are simple yet distinctive. Delicately stamped, a fluted sterling bead is attached to the end of each tip.

These fine earrings created by Santo Domingo jeweler Joseph Coriz feature natural Cerrillios turquoise mined by the artist and cut into perfect ovals. They are set off by rectangular pendants dangling below the turquoise. The pendants tell the story of the pueblo with stars in the night amidst and approaching rain storm. Solid 14K gold droplets represent the planets and moon. Beneath the pueblo are water symbols with lightning bolts pointing downwards at the bottom.

Inspired by the work of master Hopi jewelers the beauty of this one of a kind bracelet is difficult to describe. Vernon Begaye has incorporated a wide variety of fine natural gems including coral, sugilite, snowflake obsidian, Turquoise Mountain and Royston turquoise, onyx, serpentine and several others and layered them atop one another in a cascade of sterling silver. A dot of turquoise sits in iron wood as a small cross is placed on the top. The final product is a masterpiece of lapidary design and clearly a fine collectible.

This amazing bolo tie was created by Navajo jeweler Vernon Begaye using turquoise from several mines. Morenci, Kingman, Sleeping Beauty, New Lander and calcasiderite are expertly inlaid amongst Mediterranean coral to create the striking effect. The inlay is placed in a heavy tufa cast plate with highly polished and incised edges. The bolo is held by a fine hand woven cord from which tufa cast tips signature to the artist are fixed. The final one of a kind piece is elegant and highly collectible.
