Santo Domingo master overlay artist Joseph Coriz has created this marvelous storyteller bracelet by taking two sheets of heavy fourteen gauge sterling silver and cutting out each design by hand. The symbols from pueblo culture and legend speak of the people's journey from the underworld to the world of the pueblo. Guided by the hands of the ancestors the clans represented by the animals travel through the night sky with solid 14K gold stars, planets and moon. Corn crops, lightning, storm clouds and rain all give the piece an additional theme of pueblo abundance. Joseph finishes the bracelet by soldering the two sheets together over a third layer adding a substantial weight and feel when worn. The finished product is his signature achievement, topped off by a small cabochon of sacred turquoise. The stone is natural and gem grade from the famous Bisbee mine in Arizona with a deep blue hue and dark reddish-brown matrix.
