The piece involves overlaying two sheets of heavy gauge sterling silver with such precision that the sides may be inlayed with gem grade natural Mediterranean oxblood coral. A ketoh design is overlaid on the piece and then inlayed with the beautiful stone as well. In the center of the piece is a high grade natural waterweb Kingman turquoise perfectly cut into a square shape. The turquoise is sky blue with perfect water webbing throughout. This work is a blend of precision lapidary and silversmithing techniques rarely seen on today's market.

Navajo master jeweler Michael Perry has created this wonderful bracelet by overlaying two sheets of heavy gauge sterling silver. The design is created by precision cutting of the silver into a sunbeam pattern. Sunbursts line the bracelet shank and are made even more beautiful with the darkened background used to accentuate the detail. Using only the finest natural rare gem grade Mediterranean oxblood coral, rays of cornrow inlay pass down the center of the shank with smooth segments featured on the outer edges of the piece as well. The rare gem grade natural Carico Lake spiderweb turquoise is centered in the piece and encircled with a precision hand cut bezel. He selects two sheets of heavy gauge sterling silver and cuts out the design and creates a recess before soldering them together. Twelve coral inlays surround a rare gem grade natural Morenci spiderweb turquoise. The gem is sky blue with stunning water web matrix. Between each segment of coral is a lightning bolt. Around the entire outer edge he has inlayed rich rare gem grade natural Mediterranean oxblood coral as well to finish the impact of the design. The sliders and tips are distinctive each tip inlayed with coral through the center.

Smaller branch corals are then cut to inlay the radiating sunburst designs on the center and the border of the buckle. Two sheets of sterling silver are overlaid to create the substantial weight of the piece. The top sheet is cut out to create the beautiful flowing patterns. The gems are deep red with smooth domes and no imperfections. The artist is among a hand full of jewelers that are able to combine overlay, inlay and traditional silver work to perfection. He selects two sheets of fourteen gauge sterling silver and cuts out the rug pattern design on the second sheet. The sheets are soldered together and domed prior to setting the bezels and inlaying. The inlay is cut from branch oxblood coral and set on the sides in a recess created by the artist. Inlayed triangles grace the ends of the shank on either side as well. The stone is a stunning kaleidoscope of blue green with gold, chocolate and burnt orange host rock matrix. The ring was hand made out of heavy gauge rolled and hammered ingot sterling silver. The deeply stamped shank is beautifully attached to the bottom of the ring face which is surrounded in layers of both twist wire and dozens of tiny beads. Sammie adds three solid 14K gold droplets to the side in celebration of the gem.
