The natural cabochon selected for this ring is the most beautiful produced at the lavender pit in the Bisbee mine in Arizona. Deep blue with purple and red matrix defines the stone. Darryl has tufa cast the ring shank so that it has an elegant raised edge. He finishes the piece with a complex multi stage formula. The result is a shimmering lustrous shank to high light the beautiful Bisbee blue. The ring is completed by enclosing the gem in a thick solid 18 karat gold bezel, unique to the artist.

It takes an amazing amount of skill to cut the design out of this heavy a gauge. In fact this thickness is not commercially available and must be special ordered. She has deeply stamped the cut out shank with her home made tools with a unique and beautiful pattern and set an outstanding large and rare gem grade natural Apache Blue turquoise in her signature precision cut bezel. The gem is sky blue with tight dark chocolate brown spiderweb matrix. The high dome of the turquoise adds to the beauty of the piece and is further complimented by the deeply stamped and overlaid scallops on either side of the bezel.
