This is a truly awe inspiring masterpiece from award winning Hopi silversmith, Chalmers Day. This magnificent double sided overlay pendant has a tremendous amount of intricate detail. One side portrays a powerful scene with the sun face in the upper portion of the piece. The sun beams can be seen radiating above the lightning, storm clouds and rain for renewal with the medicine man planting the prayer stick beside the corn. Corn symbolizes growth and prosperity and is also sacred in the Hopi religion. In the lower half of the piece an incredible migration symbol is displayed in a swirl with a parrot clan symbol to the left. Prayer mounds, kiva steps, and feather designs are also included. The opposite side of the piece features an amazing large parrot clan design with the beak of the bird in a swirl, flying beneath the storm cloud and rain. Pueblo homes are portrayed beneath the bird accompanied by a corn maiden grinding maize. Water designs, horno for baking with smoke coming out, and migration symbol are elegantly depicted as well. This fantastic piece is a wonderful addition to any collection. It has a swiveling bale making it easy to display either side of the piece. The beads featured with this item are for display purposes and can be purchased separately upon request.

This exceptional piece hand fabricated by award winning Navajo artist, Calvin Martinez, features an outstanding cluster of rare high grade natural Royal Blue turquoise from Nevada. Each of the twenty eight stones is a gorgeous sky-blue with beautiful golden-brown matrix. Calvin also included his signature labor intensive ingot silver work. The item includes an elaborate border of sterling silver droplets around each cluster with hand-twisted wire around the center and two outer stones. The artist also included beautiful stamp work unique to his style creating each piece as if it were his own. This particular type of turquoise was first mined in the 1930's and has rarely been found since that time.
