The center is the pueblo representing their home in Santo Domingo. Outside the pueblo is the forest containing the bears and an elk. These represent clans within the pueblo. The solid 14 karat gold sun shines upon the wilderness after the storm and rain passes resulting in a rainbow. The tips of the bolo are hand made using Vidal's signature style with coils at the ends.

Darryl Dean Begay has taken a collection of pre 1964 sterling dimes to create this coin silver ring. The dimes are melted, rolled and hammered to shape. Like wise, the hand cut bezel is distinctive and hand rolled ingot as well. He has set a lovely long gem grade natural Morenci turquoise atop the heavy shank of the piece. The specimen is an eye-dazzling deep sky blue with subtle hints of spiderweb matrix and glimmering flecks of iron pyrite. Simple stamping along the shank highlights the beauty of the stone. The ring is stamped "coin silver" on the inside next to his hallmark.

This beautiful belt buckle is an excellent example of how the jeweler creates a piece by carving an image in tufa stone. This technique requires tremendous skill thinking in three dimensions. Aaron includes the tufa stone carving itself with the finished sterling silver buckle. The buckle perfectly mirrors the carving. He has created the design taken from an old historic design used on bridles and old concho belts that stands out against a deeply textured and oxidized background. A small piece of high grade natural Morenci turquoise highlights the top of the buckle for effect.

Hopi jeweler Watson Honanie has created a signature milestone with this wilderness scene belt buckle. Two separate thick sheets of solid fourteen karat gold are precision hand cut and overlaid on a heavy gauge layer of sterling silver giving the piece substantial weight. The central focus of the masterpiece design is three elks standing in a meadow as their cow elk grazes. It is mating season as the bulls bugle into the void. Surrounding the elk are moose, howling wolves, deer, rams, buffalo and bear. The elk meadow scene is deeply oxidized and etched in a shadowbox creating a three dimensional effect. The other animals along the edge of the meadow are bright but not oxidized. It is as if Watson intended them to be at the edge of the meadow, seen, but largely out of sight.

Hopi jeweler Watson Honanie has created one of the greatest bracelets in his long and distinguished career. He has taken a large sheet of solid fourteen karat gold and cut out the "ceremonial dance of the long hair kachinas". This is one of the most sacred dances amongst the Hopi people as the long hair kachina are the ones responsible for bringing the rain that enables the people to survive in their harsh desert environment. The level of detail and sophistication of design is stunning. To be able to create this in gold and to overlay it on silver is astonishing. Watson finishes the design at the end of the bracelet by portraying the kachinas entering the pueblo with its kiva as the sun sets down behind the village.

This fine pendant created by Hopi jeweler Watson Honanie exhibits an intricate petroglyphs theme. Taken from the ancient symbols near the village Watson creates figures out of solid fourteen karat gold. Individually overlaid against a black oxidized and etched background of sterling silver are a hand of man which is often seen at ancient sites such as Parowan Gap in Utah just north of Hopi land. Above the hand is a stylized parrot found in the ancient village. A kachina holds a snake, one of the people's sacred dances. Corn represents the abundance of the people's fields. The frog and turtle represent the underworld prominent in their religion. Finally kokopelli plays his flute to charm the people to recreate in abundance.
