This marvelous one of a kind piece is set with magnificent rare high grade natural Carico Lake spiderweb turquoise and was created by award winning Navajo artist, Ned Nez. The specimen is an eye-dazzling deep green with dark chocolate-brown matrix. This exceptional work of art features a labor intensive hand chiseled fluted bezel encircling the stone accompanied by exceptional detail. Exquisite silver work unique to the artist is displayed on the exterior and interior of the piece with incredible skill. Ned is famous not only for his use of the finest natural American turquoise, but for his technique in creating items that are uncommon in today's market. The cabochon is a gorgeous sky blue with tight golden chocolate-brown webbing. Intricate bezel work encircles the stone followed by an outer border of both hand braided wire and petite sterling silver droplets and a wonderful elaborate design. Deep crescent shaped stampwork is included in the piece with two reposse designs and elegant detail towards the terminals on either side. The band was also made with thick hand twisted wire adding a special touch.

From the Mediterranean, the specimens are an amazing deep red surrounded with fine bezel work. The piece also includes elaborate detail in labor intensive hand rolled and hammered ingot sterling silver. Hand braided wire was used around the center stone as well as the antennas of the butterfly with deep stamp work on each of the wings. Large and small droplets are also skillfully placed.
